Appearance Controls

Sidekick Expression Applier

Use Sidekick Expression Applier to change facial expressions with predefined blendshapes. HeroBridge exports these expressions from the runtime facial demo animation controller in the Sidekick Free Starter Pack.

Choose an Apply Mode, assign the target character, select an expression, and set the Transition time in seconds. There are 19 expressions, including In Pain, Happy, Sad, Angry, Surprised, and Neutral.

Sidekick Cycle Part

Use Sidekick Cycle Part to move to the Next, Previous, or a Random part in one category. If the character does not have a part equipped, it starts at the first available cached part.

Set the target character and choose a Part Type. The available categories include Head, Hair, Torso, Hips, Attachments, and more.

Enable Include None when cycling should also remove the current part. For example, this lets a character become bald while cycling Hair options.

Sidekick Color Applier

Use Sidekick Color Applier to change a Sidekick character's colors. Some color options are not currently used by Sidekick, but they are kept for forward compatibility.

Choose an Apply Mode and target. For Color Source, choose one of these options:

  • Component Color uses the color set in the component.
  • Image Color reads the color from a Unity UI Image on the same GameObject.

Add one or more Color Properties to apply the same color to several properties. Available properties include Skin Color, Eye Color, Eyebrow Color, Hair Color, and more.

Sidekick Body Blendshape Applier

Use Sidekick Body Blendshape Applier to change body type, body size, and musculature.

Choose an Apply Mode and target, then select a Body Property and value. Body Type and Musculature use values from 0 to 100. Body Size uses values from -100 to 100.

Sidekick Body Slider

Use Sidekick Body Slider with a Unity UI Slider to control a body blendshape in real time. Add it to the same GameObject as the Slider, assign the target Sidekick character, then choose Body Type, Body Size, or Musculature.
