NodeFlow

Getting Started

Install the modules you need, keep their versions aligned, and open your first graph.

Install NodeFlow modules

NodeFlow base is included with every NodeFlow module. Install the separately sold modules you want to use, then keep them on matching versions.

  1. Open Window > Package Manager.
  2. Find the NodeFlow modules that match the Game Creator 2 packages in your project.
  3. Install each module you plan to use.
  4. When updating, update every installed NodeFlow module to the latest matching version.

Requirements

  • Unity and Game Creator 2 versions supported by the NodeFlow package release you are installing

All NodeFlow modules require Game Creator 2.

  • NodeFlow Quests needs Game Creator Quests.
  • NodeFlow Dialogue needs Game Creator Dialogue.
  • NodeFlow LogicBlock needs LogicBlock.

Each NodeFlow module includes the base package. Install the modules you need from the Unity Package Manager, and keep every installed NodeFlow module on the latest matching version.

Getting started

  1. Install and set up Game Creator 2.
  2. Install the NodeFlow modules you plan to use from the Unity Package Manager.
  3. Keep every installed NodeFlow module on the latest matching version so their included base packages stay in sync.
  4. Open the graph you need from Window > NodeFlow or from the asset or component context menu described below.

NodeFlow creates its settings asset the first time Unity loads it. No manual setup is needed.

Updating NodeFlow

Update every installed NodeFlow module together. Mixing versions can leave a module looking for editor code that belongs to another release.

Remove NodeFlow modules from Game Creator > Uninstall. Commit or back up your project before uninstalling a package, then install the new versions through the package manager.
